The Brain Power Mania is one way Buena Park Downtown supports it's local community. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their receipts to the Mall's Customer Service Booth and choose a school to benefit from their shopping trip.  The chosen school receives 10 points for every dollar spent at Buena Park Downtown and Buena Park Place (formerly Buena Park Marketplace). Each school is rewarded by being given prizes of mall gift certificates, ranging from $250 to $2,500, with the amount awarded based on the number of total points received by a select school at the end of the school year.  Mall gift certificates can be used to purchase school supplies, including books, playground equipment, technology hardware, software and more.

Receipts are accepted from Buena Park Downtown, Park Central, and Park Place.
